Last night I was very foggy, I could feel the effects of sleep deprivation during the evening after I wasn't able to fall asleep during my second and third naps. I did make one more video last night and I hesitated to even upload it because I was so groggy. I'm going to include it here in day three to justify my modification a little more.
So, yeah that's a tired dude right there. This is what my original schedule looked like.
I started out with the top times in day 1 - after finding that I couldn't possibly get to sleep in 20 mins I adjusted to 30 mins which really didn't help much. The first day I almost got the right core time of 3 hours, day two I overslept and of course as I previously said, I really overslept this morning on day 3.
9:15am - Just got back from a 2.5 mile walk. Feeling good and awake.
It took me some time to figure out a good modified schedule that would fit in with my regular daily activities but I think I've got it. I'm eliminating one of the naps. This will give me 2 power naps in the middle of the day and 4 hours core sleep for a total of 5 hours.
It may also be worth noting here that I am currently 32 days into a diet. I've also started walking 4-6 times a week. Currently I'm walking 2.5 miles a day and I've lost 19 pounds in the last month or so. This I'm sure is affecting me somewhat. So anyway - Day 3, hopefully I'll be able to nap more effectively today and I'll be able to get used to this schedule as a lead in for going back toward the standard Everyman schedule.
1:10pm - Just got up from first nap of the day - I think I actually slept this time for a little while. I feel good and refreshed!
4:35pm. Second nap down and not sure if I actually slept or not. Feeling ok - we will see how this last big awake works out.
11:35pm - I'm holding out on the long stretch to my core sleep cycle but I'm pretty tired. I have a headache, I just took some Ibuprofen. Less than an hour and a half to go for day 3. Oh yeah, I heard Dr. Oz say something a couple days ago about using a spray bottle with water and rosemary misted into your face to give you an energy boost. Trying it, and I guess it does kinda wake you up a little - I think it is just the water being misted in your face though. But he was using fresh rosemary - all we had was some dried stuff in the herb rack. Maybe fresh works better?
